At the time, Drawfee was owned by CollegeHumor so this was their chance to create something that was wholly their own. They had originally planned to release the podcast by themselves but eventually partnered with the Headgum podcast network. Headgum was created and owned by Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld previously of CollegeHumor and they were very open to podcast suggestions from their fans.
